Two Gold Coast Ladies Bring "Hog'spitality" to Coolangatta!

Australia’s favourite casual dining restaurant group, Hog’s Breath Cafe, has added Coolangatta to the 71 communities around the country that currently enjoy its unique “Hog’spitality.” Since the first Hog’s Breath Cafe opened in Airlie Beach, North Queensland in 1989, it has built its reputation for great food and great service.

The restaurant is to be opened by Franchise Owners and long time Gold Coast residents Merran O’Sullivan and Laura Polosina. Both were seeking a new business opportunity and love a good challenge, especially one in which their experience in customer service would be a major asset.

Merran and Laura share a passion for their new business. They have been inspired by the opportunity to deliver high standards of customer service and are now following their dream - which was realised in December when they became aware of the availability of a suitable business.

Hog’s Breath Cafe Coolangatta is located at 146-150 Griffith Street.

Merran and Laura have both graduated from the company’s intensive training course at its Brisbane head office and can’t wait to open our doors and bring the very popular Hog’s Breath experience to Coolangatta.

This is the first major business venture together for both ladies and both are passionate about the food industry.  They will both be regulars at the new restaurant in their roles as General Managers.

Merran has lived on the Gold Coast for most of her life. Her customer service career began 17 years ago with a Hotel Management degree and employment in the hotel, airline and banking industries.

Russian born Laura began her business journey 14 years ago in International Hotels and Casinos and knows how to play her cards in the customer service industry.

The ladies are being well supported and encouraged by their partners, David and Andre, who are playing a significant role in the opening of the restaurant.
